About Us

Songea's Kids is an all-volunteer non-profit, dedicated to transforming the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in one of the poorest regions of Tanzania. We work with local Tanzanian NGOs to provide safe shelter, food, clothing, education and health care to the most needy children in the region.  Because we are an all-volunteer organization, 97% of all donations go directly to supporting the children and their communities.

We are committed to helping each child grow in a safe and nurturing environment. While meeting basic needs is essential to sustaining life, we also recognize that the key to transforming lives is through education and vocational training so that the children gain the knowledge, skills and ability to support themselves and their future families.
